The Human Rights Watch (HRW) has today released a video detailing torture under the regime of Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia.

HRW said that there are evidences that the regime in Banjul has committed and continue to commit serious human rights violations against perceived critics and political opponents, perpetuating a climate of fear and repression.

The under 6 minute video featured torture survivors. Among them Musa Saidykhan, a former Editor-in-Chief of the defunct The Independent, Imam Baba Leigh, Omar Amadou Jallow, leader of the opposition Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) and Fatu Camara, a former Press Secretary at Jammeh’s office and founder of The Fatu Radio Network.
